I just heard this quote for the first time (sorry Mark Twain😂). It is so powerful. Comparison is the death of joy. I think this is one of the reasons (and there are many sadly) for the epidemic of teenage anxiety and depression. These kids have grown up seeing images and moments of others lives that seem perfect or happy or whatever else one can perceive from a photo. I don’t think it stops at teenagers either. As we get older there is always someone who has “more”..more money, more beauty, more friends, more toys, etc., etc. I think the antidote to comparison is gratitude. Always comes back to gratitude, doesn’t it. Grateful for our health, grateful for our dog, grateful for (you fill in the blank). Anyway…food for thought ❤️
