06.13.24, 10:05pm - a moment we will never forget.

Baby Noah McKinley Swenson made HER grand debut Thurs night. She was complete breech, but came fast and furious vaginally literally seconds before they gave me the spinal block for a c-section in the OR. It was wild and incredible to say the least.

She’s our tiniest nugget at 5lbs, 13oz born at just 37 weeks + 2 days! We are all still in shock and in complete awe of God’s goodness. It wasn’t the homebirth we had planned, but wow does He know how to write a story. More details to come because every aspect of her birth is a complete testimony to his faithfulness. For now we’re settling in as a family of 5 and soaking in all the newborn snuggles. God is so, so good. 🩷❤️

Thankful for my family and all the families I’ve had the honor of supporting this year and all the years before.

This week my last 2 Doula babies of 2023 were born - 2 sweet baby boys born to super strong moms and supportive partners. I’m forever grateful for this work. 💙 Next up my last Hypnobabies series of the year starts on Dec 4th. Only 2 spots left to join!

RIDE THE WAVES. 🌊

Introducing my new tagline for birth and life. 🤩

In class 1 of Hypnobabies we teach to change the language of birth and thus begin reprogramming any negative beliefs about birth into positive ones. One of my favorite word changes is instead of saying contractions we call them pressure waves because that is what they are - waves of pressure. They come on, they build, and then they break. Eventually those waves are closer together and more intense, but you are capable of managing each one. The are coming from within you.

Then as we enter into motherhood you quickly learn that there are waves of ups and downs. And honestly that’s true for just life itself. So simply ride the waves. 💕

✨Happy World Breastfeeding Week✨

There is so much great content out there about this week, so I figured I’d offer a different kind of advice. No matter what your feeding journey looks like, let someone take pictures of you feeding your baby or at least pictures of you with your baby in general. It all goes by so fast and I’m so incredibly grateful of these moments in time captured so beautifully by 🥹🥰🤍
