Alumni Week starts on FRIDAY đź’™
ViaMar Health’s first-ever Alumni Week kicks off April 24–30 at our West Palm Beach campus and we couldn’t be more proud of the incredible alumni returning to give back.
All week long, alumni will be stepping into the role of mentors, supporters, and guides showing current patients what recovery can look like in real life.
From powerful moments like the Alumni-Led Scale Smash to meaningful connection during Dine with Alumni and honest conversations in our Ask Alumni Q&A, this week is all about hope, healing, and community.
This is more than a series of events, it’s living proof that recovery is possible.
We are so grateful to our alumni for coming back to support others on their journey. đź’™

We’re excited to announce ViaMar Health’s first-ever Alumni Week, happening April 24–30, 2026 at our West Palm Beach campus.
Our alumni community is returning to ViaMar, not as patients, but as mentors, supporters, and living proof that recovery is possible. Throughout the week, they’ll be volunteering their time to support current clients through meaningful, body-positive, and recovery-focused experiences.
Alumni Week is our way of celebrating long-term recovery, building connection, and showing current patients what is possible.
Here’s a look at what our alumni volunteers will be leading all week long:
• Friday (4/24) Alumni Led Scale Smash: a body–positive event where alumni decorate and smash scales, deface clothing that no longer serves their recovery, and tear up old eating disorder thoughts and beliefs.
• Monday (4/27) Hopeful Highlights (Special Edition): an alumna shares her recovery story, hope, and inspiration with RTC patients.
• Tuesday (4/28) Alumni Presents: Rec Therapy: an alumna who is a certified recreational therapist talks about how rec therapy supports recovery and life after treatment.
• Wednesday (4/29) Dine with Alumni: shared meals where alumni model flexibility, support, and connection around food. Alumni Led EDA Meeting: alumni facilitate an in-house support meeting for RTC patients.
• Thursday (4/30) Ask Alumni Q&A: an honest panel where current patients can ask alumni anything about the recovery journey. PHP & IOP patients dine with Alumni
These events are for current ViaMar patients. Only ViaMar alumni are invited back to volunteer and lead. We’re honored to have such an incredible alumni community giving back in ways that truly make a difference
This week reflects what ViaMar is all about: Find Hope. Feel Supported. You Matter.

Our very first ViaMar alumni event held outside of Florida
At ViaMar, we believe the connections built during treatment shouldn’t end when the program does and our alumni showed that in a big way at our March event in Kentucky! 💙
After an inspiring morning at the Rally for Recovery, our ViaMar alumni headed to Activate Games Lexington, where they jumped, climbed, problem-solved and laughed their way through the world’s first active gaming facility. Each high-energy game room reacted in real time, turning teamwork, quick thinking, and movement into an adrenaline-filled adventure for everyone.
To refuel, the group gathered at BD’s Mongolian Grill, the original create-your-own stir fry spot that’s been serving up innovative Asian-fusion bowls since 1992. From loading up custom bowls with fresh ingredients to trying BD’s new chef-crafted options, our alumni got to be the chefs of their own culinary journey or let the grill masters do the work. There’s always something new to discover at BD’s, and this lunch did not disappoint.
This was also a special milestone: our very first ViaMar alumni event held outside of Florida, and like all ViaMar Health alumni events, it was offered at no cost to participants as part of our ongoing commitment to community, connection, and recovery support. We’re so proud of this growing alumni family and can’t wait for what’s next. 💚

This March Alumni from ViaMar Health recently gathered in Lexington for the Kentucky Rally for Recovery, hosted by the National Alliance for Eating Disorders and proudly sponsored by ViaMar.
In partnership with the , this meaningful event helped raise awareness and provide direct support to individuals and families impacted by eating disorders, both locally and nationwide.
We decorated scales with messages of hope, heard powerful recovery stories from keynote speakers Kiley B and Sandy M, took fun group photos, and ended the day by smashing scales in a symbolic stand against diet culture and stigma.
It was an inspiring day centered on hope, healing, and community.
Please join us in raising awareness and offering direct support to those experiencing eating disorders and their loved ones in our community and across the country. Money raised through Rally for Recovery helps fund free, weekly, therapist‑led virtual support groups so no one has to face an eating disorder alone.

We’re grateful to be part of a movement that reminds everyone: recovery is possible, and you are not alone. 💙

ViaMar Alumni Adventure: Goat Yoga at 24 Karet Ranch. In July 2023, our Florida alumni group headed out for a truly unforgettable outing at 24 Karet Ranch, a beautiful 10-acre family-owned equestrian property located about 30 minutes from our West Palm Beach location in Palm Beach County.
The afternoon began with a relaxed tour of the ranch, where we learned about their medicinal herb gardens, nutrient-dense vegetables, and the many animals that are part of the ranch’s animal-assisted wellness programs. It was the perfect way to slow down, enjoy nature, and connect with each other.
Then came the highlight of the day… goat yoga.
Imagine a peaceful outdoor yoga session in the fresh air, with adorable baby dwarf goats wandering around, hopping onto yoga mats, and looking for cuddles. The combination of gentle stretching, mindfulness, and the playful goats created the perfect balance of relaxation and laughter. Needless to say, there were plenty of goat selfies along the way.
As the sun started to set, we wrapped up the evening gathered around a community campfire, sharing dinner while two musicians played live music. It was a cozy and meaningful ending to a day filled with fresh air, friendship, and a few unforgettable goat encounters.
Events like these are what our ViaMar alumni community is all about staying connected, making new memories, and continuing to grow together.
💙 We can’t wait for the next adventure

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Easton E.
We’re excited to highlight Easton E., a member of the ViaMar Health alumni community who continues to inspire others through the way he lives, works, and gives back.
Easton is now working as a Substance Use Counselor, helping people navigate recovery and build healthier futures. His journey is a powerful reminder that healing doesn’t just change our own lives. It often opens the door to helping others as well.
Outside of his professional work, Easton has a wide range of passions and experiences. He’s a coffee enthusiast, an artist who enjoys painting, drawing, writing, and reading, and someone who brings creativity and curiosity to everything he does.
Before beginning his counseling career, Easton was deeply involved in athletics. He has competitive sailing experience and also played collegiate and semi-professional soccer. He even spent time coaching youth soccer connected with the Philadelphia Union Doop community.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Easton still carries that Philly energy with him and if you ever want a fun conversation starter, ask him about Pirates of the Caribbean, because he can quote just about any line from the movies.
At ViaMar Health, alumni remain an important part of the community long after treatment ends. Programs like the Alumni Program help graduates stay connected through support, service opportunities, mentorship, and shared experiences that strengthen long-term recovery.

ViaMar Alumni: Staying Connected, Having Fun, and Building Community
At ViaMar, the connections built during treatment don’t end when the program does. Our alumni community is all about staying connected, supporting each other, and continuing to grow together.
• Through our exclusive Alumni App, alumni have a dedicated space to keep in touch, share resources, and stay updated on groups, events, and projects. Sub-groups like book club, casual chat, and the recovery corner give everyone a place to connect in ways that matter most to them.
• We also host free in-person events for alumni throughout the year, sponsored by ViaMar. Whenever possible, we organize carpools so transportation isn’t a barrier.
These gatherings are designed to be fun, relaxed, and connection-centered from outdoor adventures and creative activities to casual game nights and shared meals. They give alumni the chance to build friendships, make new memories, and experience life together in recovery.

New on ViaMar Health! We’re so excited to share letters written by alumni specifically for NEW TEENS starting their recovery journey. These messages come from people who’ve been where you are - feeling nervous, uncertain, and hopeful, and want you to know this: you’re not alone, and recovery is possible.
Starting treatment as a teen can feel overwhelming, uncertain, scary, and filled with questions. That’s why ViaMar Health alumni have come together to write heartfelt letters to teens who are just beginning their journey.
These are real words from young people who once sat in that same place, unsure but brave enough to take the first step. Their letters offer reassurance, honesty, encouragement, and hope rooted in lived experience.
✨ Healing is possible.
✨ You are not alone.
✨ Others have walked this path and are cheering you on.

Read the letters here: https://viamarhealth.com/letters-from-alumni-to-new-teens/

New Resource: Alumni Letters to New Families
Deciding to begin treatment for a loved one is one of the most emotional and uncertain moments a family can face. We are proud to partner with Zamwell (Zionsville Alliance for Mental Health, Zionsville IN) on this podcast episode featuring Ethan LeFever, Strategic Growth Officer at ViaMar Health.

This conversation breaks down the different levels of care in eating disorder treatment, how clinicians determine what level is appropriate, and why access to care remains one of the biggest barriers to recovery.

One key point we highlight: In Indiana, there is only one residential eating disorder facility. Several other states do not have ANY residential treatment facilities. Many families assume this limits their options, but in reality, most insurance plans allow individuals to seek eating disorder treatment out of state.

This episode is designed to help individuals, families, and professionals better understand treatment pathways and feel more empowered navigating next steps.
