I, Melissa Schnurr (she, her), am a certified prenatal yoga teacher, childbirth educator, and birth doula. In these virtual prenatal yoga classes, I empower pregnant people to tune into their bodies, babies, and breath. Each 75 minute class begins with time to chat with others about a topic related to pregnancy, birth, or parenthood. Each class ends with a few minutes of relaxation. EVERY (pregnant) BODY can benefit from participating in these prenatal yoga classes.

Balanced Beginnings: Postpartum & Feeding Support at Balance Chiropractic & Wellness 🤍

This group is led by Jennifer Thompson,DC, CACCP, IBCLC, a pediatric chiropractor and lactation consultant. This group is designed to complement the incredible care provided by our local birth and pediatric professionals.

We offer:
✨ Free weighted feeds
✨ Basic breastfeeding and latch support
✨ Functional feeding assessment
✨ Support for breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, and formula feeding

Our goal is simple — to extend the circle of care and support families during the fourth trimester and beyond.

We are grateful to collaborate with the amazing OBs, midwives, doulas, pediatric providers, and pediatric dentists in our community. If you’d like referral information for your office, send us a message.

After 16 years in the birth world and 13 teaching prenatal yoga on most Sunday evenings of the year, this door is closing, but it’s not locked. I am leaving open the possibility of teaching again, but for now, my intuition is telling me to pause. Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to pour into work that I am so passionate about.

A home birth midwife option with openings beginning in May!

I’m happy to share that baby #3 arrived quickly and safely at home on October 28th! He is the first of my own babies that I’ve caught. This little boy is a great nursling and has a very sweet disposition. We are tired, but feeling incredibly blessed. ❤️

Thank you for patience with text and email replies, as I enjoy my baby snuggles. I am back to scheduling Zoom consultations for 2026 due dates! Below is my homebirth availability:

Tomorrow is Cora's 11th birthday! In honor of the most magical day of my life, I share her birth video on her birthday. After a first birth full of intervention (though still a positive experience), Cora's home birth was pure magic. I am so thankful for my midwife and doula and for this experience.
