Letting go of stress over things we can’t control allows us to be present with ourselves and those around us. Stressing over things we cannot control is a choice (or a habit). Meditation and mindfulness practice helps us manage stress.

Mindfulness can be useful when it comes to being with or interacting with others. Another person’s mood belongs to them, it doesn’t need to determine your mood. Mindful awareness helps us become more skillful at managing ourselves.

We embrace ourselves, flaws and all, and value ourselves because of, not despite our imperfections. We honor our strengths and our weaknesses. We don't need to do anything to earn this acceptance; we claim it as our birthright. 🩷

Our thoughts come and go constantly. Remind yourself that not every thought is true or accurate. We can notice or acknowledge the thoughts and then let them go.

As we practice mindfulness we often become kinder to ourselves and others. This kindness can spread to people in our circle and to those who cross our path. 💜

Mindfulness can be extended to ourselves by taking the time to listen to our bodies. Our bodies communicate with us all the time; they tell us what they need if we slow down, breathe, and notice.

Check-in often with the breath. It will bring us joy, peace, and a sense of ease. It will also bring us back to the present moment.

Our Story

Our purpose is to promote supportive and life-affirming mindfulness-based programs that teach powerful methods for reducing stress and that contribute to health and well-being.

Hearts’ Path to Mindful Living is transforming and initiating a new and exciting partnership with Caloosahatchee Rising Tide Sangha, (the Tuesday night meditation group) to build a mindful community in Southwest Florida. The new name is “Caloosahatchee Mindfulness,” a center for mindfulness bringing together like-minded people with many teachers and teachings in one special space. Having a center where a community can be created and sustained has long been the dream of those who provided classes and other educational and meditative opportunities throughout Southwest Florida in the past. Negotiations are underway for a convenient location in south Fort Myers, and we look forward to a formal dedication and opening in early December.

Hearts’ Path to Mindful Living, Inc. originating in 2006 with the direction of four visionary founders, is a non-profit corporation that supports programs of Mindfulness in the community. The organization has continued to grow and expand into the community, and in 2010 Hearts' Path was granted a 501(c)(3) Public Charity status by the IRS.
