There’s something about a separate space.

A backyard pool house gives you room to move, train, recover, or simply unplug — without leaving home.

This compact lap pool fits inside a thoughtfully designed structure that complements the property and preserves the rest of the yard.

When design starts with how you’ll use the space, it feels natural — not added on.

If you could add one feature to your backyard this year, what would it be?

Sometimes the shape is the statement.

This bowtie pool was designed to create visual interest within the larger outdoor layout.

Shape influences experience more than most people realize.

Most swimmers don’t realize how much the wall becomes built-in rest.

Take it away, and everything changes.

Training without that automatic reset builds endurance you can actually feel when you return to a lap pool.

It builds endurance that holds up when it matters.

What stroke feels hardest to hold without stopping?

Elite teams don’t treat recovery as optional. They design it like infrastructure.

When the Cleveland Guardians expanded their hydrotherapy setup, the priority was access and consistency across a 162-game season.

Because reliability is what holds up when the schedule doesn’t let up.

The smallest details matter when teams are preparing for playoff football.

That’s why it’s great to see how the built their new training facility—designed to support the daily work that keeps athletes available, with SwimEx hot and cold plunge pools alongside a custom therapy pool.

As Julian Love shares in his walkthrough, the pool room has quickly become a favorite. For athletic training staff, that kind of buy-in matters. When athletes trust the space, it gets used.

This is what consistent preparation looks like when the stakes are high.

A new randomized clinical trial in older women with knee osteoarthritis reinforces something many clinicians and athletic trainers already see in practice: aquatic therapy plays a key role in improving walking ability.

Over eight weeks, participants who trained in the water showed meaningful improvements in gait speed—including under dual-task conditions that better reflect real-world walking.

The study also explored pairing aquatic therapy with non-invasive brain stimulation (tDCS). While gait improvements were driven primarily by the water-based work, the combined approach delivered additional gains in proprioception, highlighting how water can support both movement and sensory feedback.

The takeaway isn’t about technology.
It’s about how the properties of water—buoyancy, resistance, and support—create conditions where people can move more confidently and consistently when land-based training is harder.

An indoor lap pool built for everyday swimming.

In this New England home, the goal was simple: make it easy to swim year-round. Bringing the pool indoors created a comfortable space for regular movement, recovery, and time in the water—no checking the forecast.

When a pool is planned around daily use, it just fits into life.

From an underused deck to an indoor swim space the whole family uses every day.

For Monica and her family, high-impact workouts were starting to take a toll. They wanted a way to stay active that felt effective—but easier on their joints. By rethinking their backyard and bringing the pool indoors, they created a space that supports movement, recovery, and time together.

“It’s an extension of our home,” Monica shared. “We use it every day—and we couldn’t be happier.”

Designed to fit their lives. Built for long-term use.
