The Brooks Institute of Higher Learning is currently accepting applications for our 2026-2027 residency and fellowship cohort. Hear from Lisa Hagerty, PT, DPT, OCS, a 2024 graduate of our orthopaedic physical therapy program, as she shares her experience in the program. 🧠

"I am grateful for my time in the orthopedic residency program because it forced me out of my comfort zone. Although I already had nearly a decade of experience, the challenges of the residency program forced me to prove my knowledge and put my skills to the test. I have presented at conferences on a national scale, spoken with individuals in leadership positions regarding my research and seen myself step into new fields of physical therapy with more confidence and knowledge than I believe would be possible at the time without my experience with the residency program."

Introducing our newest technology, ONWARD Medical's ARC-EX.

ARC-EX is an FDA-cleared, spinal cord stimulation system that targets areas of injury on the spinal cord with programmed electrical pulses through the skin. Unlike traditional functional electrical stimulation, which directly contracts muscles, ARC-EX targets the spinal cord itself. When combined with task-specific therapy, this process helps promote neuroplasticity, allowing the brain to form new neural connections.

See it in action at our Neuro Recovery Center below! ⬇️ Learn more on our website at https://brooksrehab.org/technology/arc-ex/.
