PROJECT ARTIFACTS: Sparked by some recent conversations, we will be dropping a few project artifacts used in the development of our publications over the next few weeks. Here is a digital clipping from an Ebony issue in January of 1983 where Dr. Fulton's work on fasting was highlighted.

WELL UP YOURSELF: Don't ignore the healing needed in this moment. You are participating on a societal trauma of epic proportions and it is understandable if that fact challenges the limits of your comprehension. FEED R SELVES: Now more than ever reifies the need to keep the regional food webs and agricultural ecosystems alive and thriving. Because these supply chains ain't loyal.

Get you some no contact produce to supplement whatever else you might be eating. You can also get you a 10x2 garden bed while you are at it. There is probably somebody in a timebank that you need to join who can help you figure what to plant in those rows.

You might also find someone there who is deeply enamored by canning and fermentation who can help you figure out how to extend the life of that produce. This is where food meets community and becomes an ecosystem. Healthy Food Hub as a model and a practice can and must live on.

Looking for fresh produce? Our team is offering no contact pick-up on Saturday from our South Chicago Farm located at 9000 S Mackinaw Street. For every person who orders, Urban Growers Collective is donating a produce bag to our community partners at Claretian Homes for Seniors and Thresholds. The link to order is https://freshmoveschi.square.site/s/order. 🌱

GROW SOME'M: The plot is still that everybody should have a plot come spring. Tiny pockets of space on corners and curbsides. Small yards. Front stoops. Porches, perches, eaves and overhangs. Grow something everywhere.
