We're thrilled to announce the winner of our CellDrop Giveaway, Dra. Antonella Quintana from Uruguay!

Out of thousands of entries from researchers all around the world, Antonella was randomly selected as our grand prize winner of a CellDrop FLi Automated Cell Counter.

Antonella is a part of the Unidad Académica Desarrollo Biotecnológico at the Instituto de Higiene, Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de la República (Udelar).

Here are some words from our winner!

"Our department has been investigating Salmonella Typhimurium LVR01 for several years as a therapeutic strategy against different types of cancer.

This bacterial strain has shown promising potential as an anticancer agent, and our research focuses on understanding and optimizing its therapeutic effects.

The CellDrop will be extremely valuable for this project and for other ongoing research lines within our Academic Unit and the Institute, as it will greatly facilitate our experiments and improve the accuracy and efficiency of our assays.

I feel truly happy and grateful to have won the CellDrop giveaway. This incredible prize will bring significant benefits to our research and will have a very positive impact on our current and future projects."

Thank you so much to everyone who entered the competition, and congratulations to Antonella and her team!

With its patented technology, the CellDrop Automated Cell Counter has saved over 25 million slides from use and disposal.

That's equivalent to the weight of about 15 African elephants!

How does it work?

CellDrop has a permanent sample chamber made of two parallel, durable sapphire surfaces.

When cell suspension is loaded into the chamber, the sample is held in place by surface tension.

To count cells, the workflow is simple:

1️⃣ Load sample into the chamber
2️⃣ Adjust focus and exposure, then press count button to analyze sample
3️⃣ Wipe surfaces clean with a lab wipe, and CellDrop is ready for the next measurement!
