Soleil La Vie – Mission & Program Overview
Soleil La Vie is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing housing loss and exploitation among vulnerable populations, including survivors of abuse, seniors, and disabled individuals living on fixed or limited incomes.
Our work focuses on stabilization, empowerment, and long-term self-sufficiency through individualized, trauma-informed support. Unlike many programs that rely on standardized solutions, Soleil La Vie works one-on-one, addressing each individual’s specific needs, barriers, and goals.
Programs & Services
1. Survivor Stabilization & Empowerment
Soleil La Vie provides personalized support to women and their children escaping abuse, including:
• Trauma-informed counseling referrals
• Educational and vocational pathway guidance
• Sustainable housing navigation
• Career development focused on long-term self-sufficiency
This individualized approach fills a critical gap where traditional programs often fall short.
2. Housing Stabilization for Seniors & Disabled Individuals (Expansion Program)
Soleil La Vie is expanding to address a growing but underserved crisis: seniors and disabled individuals who own modest homes but face displacement due to property taxes, limited income, or reliance on others for housing.
This program focuses on:
• Foreclosure and displacement prevention
• Property tax stabilization assistance
• Abuse and financial exploitation prevention
• Aging-in-place support
The goal is to preserve housing stability, autonomy, and dignity—preventing crisis before it occurs.
Community Need
There are few, if any, programs addressing property-tax-driven housing loss for seniors and disabled individuals. Many are forced into unstable living arrangements or become dependent on others, increasing the risk of financial exploitation and abuse.
Soleil La Vie addresses this gap through early intervention, stabilization support, and individualized care.
Values & Accountability
Soleil La Vie operates with a commitment to transparency, dignity, and ethical stewardship. Funds are directed toward mission-based services, administrative compliance, and program development. No salaries are currently paid.
