Let's talk about the big switch- transitioning your skincare routine from over the counter products to professional products- and why you should make it.

🦋Professional Products are strictly regulated by the FDA. This means that the ingredients, efficacy, and labels are all subject to approval by the FDA. OTC products are not strictly regulated by the FDA, meaning that product labels can be inaccurate, misleading, and do not contain the highest quality of ingredients.

🦋Professional skincare typically contains higher concentrations of active ingredients. Actives target specific skin concerns. The higher the concentration of active ingredients, the more effective the treatment will be.

🦋They do not contain lots of "filler" ingredients like artificial coloring, parabens, silicones, sulfates, drying alcohols, and so much more. These ingredients can cause irritation and they aren't necessary.

🦋Professional products improve the overall health of your skin long-term. You may see short term benefits in your skin with OTC products, but they will not give you the same long-term results. Because professional products have higher quality ingredient and more active ingredients they create more substantial changes in your skin.

🦋It is worth spending the money on professional skincare. Your products will last longer, be more effective, and produce quicker longer lasting results. Many of them are even comparable in price to their OTC counterparts.
