All this dang cold weather calls for soup! I made this one for lunch yesterday and it was everything I wanted it to be. 🥣🥦🧀

This is my first post sharing a full recipe post since I re-published my blog under a new URL. I plan to keep adding recipes regularly, or at least sporadically! 😉

A little copycat OG Zuppa Toscana for this cold weather. 🥶

Recipe will be added to the blog asap! ✅

Also, did some pizza focaccia, 10 out of 10, highly recommend! If you’ve ever considered trying your hand at bread making focaccia is a very easy and delicious place to start. 🍕

I love breakfast sandwiches! This one is on fresh sourdough focaccia with:

•sun-dried tomato basil mayo
•fresh mozzarella
•prosciutto
•fried egg
•arugula

I toasted the inside of the bread in a pan with a little olive oil, then constructed the sandwich and toasted it in the same pan. I used a larger lid to press it a bit. It was delicious!! 🤤

I made a GIANT batch of beef and veggie stir fry by Frankenstein-ing a few recipes together. I like how it turned out, but it’s not quite ready for the world. I’ll make it again soon with the necessary updates. 😊

I went a little fancy tonight. I had arugula leftover from my delicious turkey sandwich, some duck breast from the freezer section at the rouse, and sweet potatoes.😋 My favorite thing on the plate was the arugula salad. I layered in thinly sliced red onion, diced sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and roasted pepitas. I waaayyy overdressed it with a simple vinaigrette (oil, vinegar, Dijon, sugar, salt, and pepper) and tossed it all together. I ate every last bite. ☺️

Welcome!

On the Food Side is a social media page meant for connection. It connects me to you, my nutrition practice to my blog, my personal food and nutrition values to a public space, and so much more. My hope, and intention, is to share a message about the positive aspects of food; how it can be a source of pleasure rather than stress, how it can offer care and nurturing instead of control and judgement. I want to create a movement and shift away from restriction, control, and deprivation and move into a space of acceptance, balance, flexibility, and self care. I am utilizing my professional skills as a registered dietitian, my practice skills as a yoga teacher, and my personal passion for food and writing to create a page that promotes a positive relationship between you and your food! Welcome to On the Food Side!
