Rolled my ankle earlier today. I just turned on the MagnaWave and put it on my ankle, when Gus immediately jumped onto the couch and planted himself next to the coils. Coming up on 5 years I’ve had this machine and it never ceases to amaze me how much animals gravitate to it!

A huge amount of processing and releasing (lasted over two and a half minutes!) after a massage and magnawave combo session. 🥰

Sundance let go with some huge releases while working his longissimus dorsi muscle today! This is the main muscle of the horse's back (runs from C4 to the sacrum!), so it is quite commonly in need of therapy work regardless of the horse's workload.

I may specialize in Equines, but pups still benefit from MagnaWave, too! And they sure love it!

Horses don't lie. They tell us when they experience pain and they tell us when they experience relief. Muscles can develop trigger points - sort of like tiny spasms in the muscle - but there can be one or several within a given muscle. We often refer to them as "knots" and they can feel hard or grisly. They can vary from mildly to severely painful. Here, I was working trigger points along the spine in the trapezius and longissimus dorsi muscles and he was obviously feeling relief during the process. Trigger point therapy works to eliminate these points of restriction in the muscles by cutting off circulation to the area temporarily (8 or 10 seconds) and then allowing oxygen rich *healing* blood to flood back in. It is an integral part of every massage session I perform.

Combined craniosacral therapy and MagnaWave tonight. Watching a horse release never gets old. ❤
