It was a great weekend spent at the 2022 Growing Miracles Lavender Garden Festival!

Saw a lot of friendly faces that have been missing from our soapy life. It's been too long!

We hope to see everyone more often!

So COVID closed down the actual soap business but the reason for our family soap and beauty recipes is still going strong.

I'm Sierra, chemical sensitivity poster child extraordinaire. I react to EVERYTHING.

For example - I bought new eye liner, lip liner, and lipstick. (My last purchases like this were in 2013. No point in buying makeup if you can't wear it.) I did punk rock hair with some mousse still in my cabinet.

Thirty minutes later? My scalp itched and my eyes & nose were watering. I showered with some of my soap and used my whipped body butter as a head to toe moisturizer.

There is a reason we don't use cheap ingredients in our recipes. Wanting to scratch your own skin off isn't fun at all.

I can only scroll so long before I get bored.

Knitting makes me happy. :-)

One point for every one you have NOT done. What's your score? (Mine is 1.)

Ok. This is the kind of tree I could support. All the flowers and branches from that year's harvest? Very cool.

A flowered Christmas tree.

This dried flower tree at Winterthur has been delighting guests since the 1980s. All of the flowers are collected and dried from the property throughout the season. Each year is different depending on what performed well in the gardens that year.
