This expansion strengthens our commitment to addressing the physical and emotional needs of our patients. Now, you can receive timely support for emotional distress, anxiety, grief, or other short-term mental health challenges right where you seek urgent care.

This morning, San Antonio Regional Hospital had the honor of hosting the 30th Annual Prayer Breakfast of the Upland Interfaith Council—a powerful gathering rooted in unity, compassion, and shared hope.
Our 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗺𝗮𝗻 opened the event with a warm and inspiring welcome, joined by several members of our Executive Management Group, who came in full support of this meaningful tradition.

We were grateful to stand alongside distinguished community leaders, including:

Several local clergies and more than 𝟴𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟭 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 gathered together under one roof, united in offering prayers for our community, state, nation, and world.

Seven in ten people living with diabetes are of working age, yet many face stigma, mental health challenges, and burnout while managing their condition at work. This World Diabetes Day, we invite our community to learn more and do more to support employees living with diabetes.

By increasing awareness, offering flexibility, and encouraging open conversations, workplaces can reduce stress and improve well-being. Support starts with understanding. Share this message to help create healthier, more informed work environments for everyone.

This Veterans Day, the community gathered at Upland City Hall to celebrate and honor our veterans at the Veterans Plaza during the official Veterans Day Ceremony.

With leaders like 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝘂, 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, and 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘆, and other city officials present, the event honored those who served with heartfelt gratitude.

San Antonio Regional Hospital was honored to participate. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻 opened the event with a special prayer that set the tone for a meaningful day of remembrance and community pride.

This wasn’t just a ceremony. It was a reminder of the kind of values our city stands for.

On November 11, our past and present service members gathered in front of the San Antonio Regional Hospital fountain for a special photo to recognize their service to our country.

Afterwards, they joined a reception where our Executive Management Group took time to thank and honor them for their dedication both in the military and in healthcare. We’re proud to work alongside these incredible individuals and grateful for all they’ve given and continue to give.

These are more than just coworkers. They’re veterans, or reserve duty service members, and everyday heroes who bring the same commitment and courage to our hospital that they’ve shown in uniform.

Delaine joined San Antonio just two years ago, but brings with her more than 25 years of nursing experience, starting as an LVN. From the beginning she knew the kind of nurse she wanted to be: one who makes every patient feel seen, heard, and safe in her care. Delaine empowers her patients to take an active role in their own healing and well-being. Recently, she was nominated for the DAISY Award by a grateful family member whose loved one was under her care. They shared, “I have never been so compelled to recognize someone for their service. My brother-in-law was in Delaine’s care. She was completely on top of every situation that arose. She worked tirelessly--sometimes for hours at a time--all the while being friendly and supportive. Her clinical knowledge was like nothing I have ever seen. What a truly exemplary representative of your hospital.” Congratulations, Delaine!

𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 – 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Karla has been a valued member of San Antonio’s telemetry team for the last 25 years. She began on 3DOU, transferred to 3VT, and now continues to give excellent care to patients in the Observation Unit. Known for treating every patient like family, Karla’s compassion recently inspired a touching nomination from one of her patients. “I want to thank Karla for being a kind and caring CNA. I’m a person of few friends and no immediate family. Karla noticed that I received no visitors. When I explained my situation, Karla took it upon herself to stop by and check on me for a few moments each day. To a person in my situation, that simple act of mercy means so much, especially when facing medical issues all alone. I can never show enough gratitude, but I hope this letter reaches her. I am indebted to Ms. Hernandez for helping me get through some of the loneliest and hardest times.” 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮 and thank you for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients!

On Oct. 31, San Antonio Regional Hospital hosted our 𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗨 𝗥𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and it was pure Oz magic!
We invited NICU families from the past 10 years, and more than 800 guests joined us in costume to “Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” trick-or-treat, and take photos with their favorite Wizard of Oz characters!
A huge shout-out to the departments who went all out decorating booths as scenes from the movie — you brought Oz to life!
Special thanks to our security team for helping with parking and traffic, and to our many volunteers who made it all possible.
We loved reconnecting with our families and can’t wait to do it again next year!
