𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗙 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 – 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗴𝗼, she has already become a shining light on her unit. Her colleagues love working alongside her on Latimer, and it’s easy to see why. She was nominated by a fellow care team member who shared: “Leslie exudes the values of San Antonio Regional Hospital. She prioritizes patient care and goes above and beyond to spend quality time with her patients. She treats everyone with respect and always makes time—no matter how chaotic the day gets—to provide compassionate, individualized care. She is a true team player, willing to help her coworkers with any task. When she is on the floor, the nurses feel a sense of relief because we know our patients are receiving exceptional care. If I were hospitalized, I would feel completely safe and cared for with Leslie as my CNA.” Leslie already holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has just applied to the nursing program at Cal Baptist University. Start with the basics that work best: wash your hands often, keep them away from your face, and remember that the flu virus can live on everyday surfaces. Then give your immune system support with at least fifteen minutes of daily movement, healthy meals, stress reduction, solid sleep, and your yearly flu shot.

If you are already feeling sick, stay home, rest, drink fluids, and use an over-the-counter pain reliever or fever reducer as directed. If you need to be seen, our urgent care centers are ready when you are.
