Low-motivation days are a normal part of recovery — they don’t mean you’re failing or moving backward. Some days, simply showing up is the work. If motivation feels low, remind yourself that recovery isn’t driven by how you feel in the moment, but by the support and structure you lean on.

When motivation dips, try this:
• Stay connected — reach out to a peer, staff member, or someone who understands
• Stick to your routine, even if it’s at a slower pace
• Focus on one small, manageable step instead of the whole picture
