I have over 10 years of experience providing a safe and secure place for individuals, families, and couples to address emotional and psychological problems that often result in personal suffering and struggling relationships. I place great emphasis on empathy and believe that we all encounter deep dark places that are best worked through when we have a safe and compassionate person to walk alongside us through the journey. I am passionate about helping others find a way forward to experiencing fulfilling relationships and a hopeful joyful life. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and relationships issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Existential Therapy modalities to assist individuals in improving insight, gaining coping skills and building empowerment and self-esteem. I am experienced in working with diverse populations, having worked outside of the United States with people of many different socioeconomic statuses, cultures, intellectual and developmental stages, age groups, sexual orientations, and genders.

Starting July 1, 2026, as part of provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), the U.S. Department of Education (ED) could begin making significant changes to federal student loan limits. Under these guidelines, non-doctorate counseling programs are considered graduate programs, and therefore capping student borrowing power to $20,500 a year in federal student loans.

ED is required to consider public comments—generally open for at least a 30-day period—before issuing a final rule. ACA will submit formal comments to the Department of Education during the comment period and will be engaging with federal legislators to address this alarming policy shift.

We strongly encourage counselors to advocate for the reversal of these provisions by also submitting comments to the Department of Education once the comment period opens.

Social work is professional work- and we need the Department of Education to treat it that way. Recent federal changes to loan limits for professional and graduate programs leave social work out, despite the fact that MSW and DSW programs meet rigorous professional standards and prepare practitioners for licensed, regulated, life-impacting work. This exclusion harms social workers and threatens access to our profession. NASW is working with CSWE and coalition partners to push the DOE to recognize social work as a professional degree. We’ve updated our student loan relief resources with the latest information and will be issuing an action alert as soon as the public comment period opens. When that happens, we will need social workers, students, educators, and allies everywhere to submit comments. Your voice will matter, your expertise will matter, your solidarity will matter.

Got something new for my office. Hopefully my clients will enjoy it, too. I liked the first card I picked for myself.
