Happy birthday, Lachond!!! 🎉🎉🎉

For Lachond, the perfect birthday means traveling—and if she could celebrate anywhere in the world, it would be the Maldives. When she’s unwinding, she loves watching shows based in the UK and keeping Ella Mai on repeat. Sweet treats (especially cake!) are a must, and an Amazon gift card is always appreciated.

Beyond the celebration, Lachond is passionate about empowering clients through education, insight, and support as they work toward their treatment goals. Raised and educated in Baltimore City, she has seen firsthand the impact of unmet mental health needs on individuals, families, and the community. She is committed to normalizing mental health support and creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported on their journey to healing.

Join us in wishing Lachond a wonderful birthday and a year filled with joy and new adventures!

Happy March!!! It’s International Women’s Month, and women, we see you. We see how you carry so much, how you show up for everyone, and how you keep things moving even when you’re tired.

This month, we challenge you to give yourself some of that same energy. What would it look like to truly show up for you? What would it feel like to be an active participant in your life instead of just managing a never-ending list of responsibilities?

That option is on the table for you.

So go ahead, pull out your journal and make this month’s affirmation and prompt personal. Center yourself. Choose yourself. Show up for yourself.

Happy birthday, Kanesha Brown!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Whether she’s relaxing with friends or escaping to a tropical destination, Kanesha knows how to celebrate in style. Fun fact: she’s a self-published children’s book author!

If she could celebrate anywhere, it’d be by a large body of clear, blue water. Sweet treats are a must, and her favorite gift cards? Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, or Target.

Kanesha’s passion extends beyond birthdays—she helps clients build confidence, overcome obstacles, and grow using motivational interviewing and strength-based strategies, empowering them to succeed no matter the challenge.

Join us in wishing Kanesha a very happy birthday!

Choosing yourself doesn’t mean you don’t care about others, it means you’re strong enough to honor your needs while showing up fully for those around you.

If you need support learning how to set boundaries and prioritize yourself, therapy can help. Your well-being matters.

Moesha taught us what it looked like to grow up Black, talented, and under pressure.

As a teenager, Moesha carried expectations to be mature, responsible, and “get it right,” often without space to fully process her emotions. Through a mental health lens, we see a young Black girl navigating identity, perfectionism, and the weight of being seen as “the good one.”

This Black History Month, we honor characters like Moesha who reflected real experiences in our community, reminding us that emotional support matters just as much as achievement.

Therapy creates space for young people to be imperfect, expressive, and supported—without judgment.

Friendships should add calm, not chaos. The people we spend our time with have a powerful impact on our mental health and emotional well-being.

In this FaceTime, one of our amazing clinicians, Stacy Embrack, breaks down what healthy friendships look like and how to recognize when a friendship may be unhealthy. Consider it a gentle check-in for your circle.

And if you’re noticing patterns you want to explore or boundaries you need support setting, therapy can help. When you’re ready, we’re here for you.

No “told you so” from us 😏. There was a reason those red flags stood out, but this is still a safe space to unpack it all. Healing isn’t about shame or hindsight; it’s about understanding, compassion, and learning what those patterns were trying to teach you.

Whether you ignored the signs, hoped things would change, or just needed more time, you’re allowed to process it all without judgment. We’re here to help you unpack what happened, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with clarity and care.

Exes…we loved them, laughed with them, and sometimes learned the hard way that they might need therapy for all the areas their parents missed. 💌

And no, we didn’t forget about Valentine’s Day cards for the ex you’ve talked about in therapy. These special cards are here to say what you really feel...and maybe encourage a little much-needed healing along the way.

Nothing says “I love you” to your friends quite like recognizing when they could use professional support and gently nudging them in that direction. 💌

This Valentine’s Day, we’re giving you the cards that say what you’ve really been thinking—with care, humor, and a whole lot of love. Because wanting the best for your people sometimes means encouraging healing, too.

And if your friend (or you, if you're the friend) are ready to take that next step, we’re here. Book a session and let’s start the conversation.

This Black History Month, we’re honoring some Black TV shows and characters that shaped culture, sparked conversations, and reflected our lived experiences.

While they made us laugh (and sometimes cringe), many of these characters also showed us what unspoken stress, unresolved trauma, and emotional growth can look like.

Let’s talk about them through a mental health lens, because healing is part of our history, too.

Healthy relationships start with healthy people. Your relationship with yourself matters because it shapes what you tolerate, what you expect, and how you allow others to treat you—especially in romantic relationships.

Today, we’re sharing therapist-approved signs of a healthy relationship with yourself and with a partner. Think of it as a gentle check-in, not a checklist. Growth is always the goal.

And if you’re realizing there are areas you want to strengthen, therapy can be a supportive place to explore that. When you’re ready, we’re here to help.
