Get ready to swap out your barn boots for running shoes, because June 7th, we’re hitting the trails— sans ponies — and hosting Promise Landing Farm’s first and inaugural INCLUSIVE Trail Trotters 5k and Fun Run!!

This FUNdraiser will include a family friendly (and competitive, if that’s your jam) 5k over the PLF picturesque acreage, OR a field fun run for kids, adaptive, or roped-into-it-at-the-last-minute runners 😉

Followed by a lunch social for runners, cheer leaders, volunteers, and visitors with food trucks, live music and barn tours!

Did you know, one study reported that people with an intellectual disability were 7 times more likely to be lonely than the general public.

And our incredible community here at Promise Landing Farm believes that Redefining Inclusive is the BEST and most effective way to work !

We believe that horses, and those who love them, offer a special type of friendship — empowering and uplifting equestrians of ALL abilities.

Worlddownsyndromeday.org shares that the way to stop loneliness is 1. Real inclusion 2. Welcoming spaces 3. Meaningful relationships— and we couldn’t agree more!
Thank you to every rider, volunteer, horse (they make a difference to feeling welcome, too!) and staff who helps us make PLF a fun, safe and inclusive program.

When Ryan graduated to no longer needing a horse leader, he had a new assignment for his long time volunteer 👀

After diligently working to hold his reins and steer, Miss Mary has now been promoted from horse leader to CHEER LEADER!

1, 2, 3, 4 — drop that lead rope on the floor!
5, 6, 7, 8 — Ryan’s steering out the gate!
7, 8, 9, 10 — watch out world, it’s Ryan and Finn!

It’s our privilege to cheer on our riders as they advance and grow, and we are infinitely grateful to the volunteers who invest in their riders’ goals and celebrate their success (and embrace the silliness 🤪) along the way.
