I have a New Year’s resolution for our clients. More of a New Year’s challenge if you will. As massage therapists we form real bonds and friendships with our clients and as much as we love chatting with our clients and catching up, what we really love is when our clients feel they are in a safe place and can really let go and relax during their session. So, we are challenging our clients to allow themselves to silently ‘zen out’ and really take the opportunity to let their mind take them somewhere else for an hour. Go to the ocean, or to a quiet Forrest, or to the top of a mountain and just enjoy the vast scenery below. Go to Christmas morning when you were 5 years old and remember the magic or to your Grandparent’s house and rock on that front porch swing. Just go to your happy place. Sometimes we get the feeling that our clients talk during their session for our benefit because you think we are bored or you don’t want to appear rude BUT that is YOUR session and we would NEVER think that you being silent is rude. So, we challenge our clients to just take in every stroke and every glide and every muscle release and focus on the work and we think you’ll find that the health benefits will become even deeper and more profound. So, maybe that means we talk for the first 10 minutes while you find your ‘peace’ or maybe you allow your mind to drift for half of the session and then we chat or maybe the entire session is silent and we have to wake you at the end. Whatever finding that peace looks like for you is what we challenge you to find. I will also add that we are fully aware that some clients relax by actually talking to us and if that’s the case for you then we want you to continue. This is us letting you know that a quiet session is NEVER a boring session for us because we know that most of our best massages are given in silence where our hands are communicating with your muscles and providing exactly the therapy they seek. Let’s make 2026 all about Massage, PEACE & WELLNESS💜

Need to buy a gift certificate? You can stop in on Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 and someone will be at the front desk to assist you. That is the easiest way. If you can’t stop in during those hours you can reach out and make arrangements for us to mail the certificates to you. Thank you for supporting our local small business.

If you and/or your spouse are government employees and currently not being paid PLEASE DON’T CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. If you have an appointment scheduled and you’re a regular client at Massage, Peace & Wellness (have been in at least 6 times in the last year) please come in for your scheduled appointment. We will bill you once your paychecks resume. It’s the least we can do to help our loyal clients who support our small business.
