Our very own Laura Lasater is being highlighted as a Leading Lady of 2026 by The Lisa Rector Team: Keller Williams Realty, The Real Estate Center of IL! We are beyond grateful to be a part of such a positive and uplifting community.
Cheers to many more years of our working together having a positive impact for women in our community!
“We have a responsibility to turn around and hold out a hand to pull someone else up too."
Laura Lasater is the founder and owner of Health In Harmony in Urbana, offering wellness services ranging from esthetics, assisted stretching, and massage therapy to sound experiences. She's been helping people heal and thrive since 2008.
But her "why" runs generations deep.
She thinks back to her grandmother — supporting a family alone while being paid pennies on the dollar compared to men. Her mother, who couldn't have her own bank account when Laura was born. Not because of her abilities. Because of "the rules."
"Now, fast forward to today, and I see no logical reason why women shouldn't be making as much, having as much, or doing whatever their hearts desire," Laura says.
As the mother of two daughters and part of a long line of intelligent, determined women, empowering other women speaks to her soul.
"Women are intelligent, quick-witted, hard-working, dynamic, and capable of anything we set our minds to. I want my daughters to know they are worthy and capable of holding a seat at the table — whatever table they may choose to sit at and succeed."
**Her advice to aspiring female leaders?**
"Believe in your abilities to succeed. Don't even question it. If you're going to question anything, ask: What do I need to get there? How can I make it happen? How do I regularly add something positive to making my vision come to fruition? Don't be afraid to ask questions."
**Want to support her work?** Visit Health In Harmony for facials, stretching, bodywork, sound experiences, and retreats. Winner of Best of Urbana multiple years!
Fun fact: She carries a watercolor painting pen in her purse. No watercolors or paper — but if you have the supplies, she's down for the activity! (Kids keep life fun and changing!) 🎨
