Member Spotlight 🌟 Emily Walsh, PharmD, BCACP
🎓 Emily earned her PharmD at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and completed PGY1 and PGY2 residencies with the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis at Mercy Hospital St. Louis and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
♀️ Emily is passionate about women’s health, serving in a unique role at the University of Iowa Health Care. 80% of her time is spent providing care in the adult rheumatology clinic, and 20% is spent serving patients undergoing IVF in the reproductive endocrinology clinic.
🙌 Emily says attending the 2025 Decker-Temple Leadership Pharmacy Conference has been the highlight of her IPA involvement—and professional year! “I cannot say enough positive things about the conference,” she said.
💙 When asked why others should get involved, Emily said, “IPA has something for everyone…[Sometimes] we think that we can handle change on our own. However, it takes a village, and IPA has connections and resources that extend far and wide.”
