Compass Clinical Associates, PLLC Compass Clinical Associates is a dynamic multidisciplinary team working together to serve the mental health needs of our Central Iowa.

For 30 years, we have been serving Central Iowans with the finest mental health treatment. Our services include individual and family psychotherapy, psychological testing, medication management and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment program for depression. We have added a number of new clinicians over the past year to our team as well. Compass’ beautiful state-of-the-art facility is located at 2500 82nd Place in Urbandale. Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, are you feeling more stress than gratitude? You're not alone. Family gatherings can be complicated.

This week, give yourself permission to set boundaries.

Remember:

You don't have to attend every event.

You can decide how long you stay.

You are allowed to steer conversations away from topics that are harmful to your mental health. (A simple "I'd rather not discuss that" is a complete sentence.)

You can step outside or into another room for a 'breather' anytime you need one.

Setting boundaries isn't selfish; it's essential for your well-being and allows you to show up as your best self.
