In Loving Memory of Catherine
Catherine was a beacon of warmth and kindness. As the co-owner of Caruso’s Pastry Shop, she welcomed everyone with a genuine smile and an open heart. Her generosity and humor made her shop not just a place for delicious treats, but a true community hub.
Beyond her pastry shop, Catherine balanced life with wisdom and grace. She and her husband, Carmen, created a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished moments. Whether preparing a simple dish of pasta or their many travels together, Carmen and Catherine were an unforgettable couple. Her wisdom and kindness touched not just our family, but the entire community.
Catherine’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and a strong moral compass. She will always be remembered with deep gratitude and affection.

We wanted to give our heartfelt condolences to the Caruso family (Caruso's Pastry Shoppe) - Catherine Caruso (seated on the right), one of the original owners of Caruso’s Pastry Shoppe passed away on December 22, 2025. Catherine played an enormous role in the growth of one our most treasured local businesses and she will be dearly missed by many. God bless her and may she rest in peace.
To those who wish to pay their respects, there will be a funeral and Celebration of Life ceremony at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church (648 Jay. St, Utica) on Saturday Jan. 3rd (tomorrow) at 12pm.
