CBT 8

Anticedents are triggers that can affect mental health. Small trauma and larger traumatic events may result in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Most people can relate to larger traumatic events such as wartime stress but small traumatic experience are episodes of stress over a longer period of time that add up and may have as much an impact on mental health. Family dynamics from early childhood that are stressful may be an example of small trauma.
Small trauma can be just as devastating while treatment for both is important.

#7 CBT

No right or left standards in CBT posts. They are simply informative. Its about individuality, your own way of thinking, your own beliefs and choices. The science, although has some empirical foundations is not absolute. Philosophy or theological beliefs belong to the individual and are for contemplation. There is no promotion or stance to take.
Posts are about helping with obtaining mental health that is determined by perspectives and life goals set by the individual. The life cycle offers mental health challenges. Learning about CBT as a treatment model is one way that helps.

#6 CBT Psychotherapy Life

The uncertainty in life is the human condition.
Interconnectedness describes our relationships, biologically and otherwise, and our thoughts are the glue that bind us together.

Have you ever observed someone and they perform their best? This is an example of interconnectedness through the "Observer" effect. Psychotherapy/CBT is a similar experience.

Use thoughts wisely, develop better relationships and choose your script in life by influencing outcomes.

CBT #5
The CBT model in therapy is a contract. Its a collaborative approach.
Thoughts, feelings and behaviors are often identified and is what I sometimes refer to as " self fulfilling prophecy ". Its the enactment or incorporation of our distinct world view.
Its automatic in a multiple systemic environment in which we live.
Change begins with acceptance of the disturbance and willingness to restructure our thoughts.

From a clinical point of view:
As for the question of eyesight. The mind references the experience.

From a clinical point of view Quantum physics is Thought Energy that is fueled by belief and shaped by the mind.
If one adopts a belief system as a path in life to follow they incorporate their script in life. Somewhat a self fulfilling prophecy. Belief is the core of CBT. Thoughts and Belief drive the bus in life.

Question: Do the eyes see or does the mind see?

Our mind is a chemical and electrical making machine. Our thoughts generate and transmit messages effecting the brain. Psychotropic therapy is an attempt to manipulate or provide the balance needed for the betterment of mental health.

CBT is a way that identifies thoughts and thought patterns that affect mind and the actual brain matter.

Conclusion is both interventions serve a purpose but isn't it nice to know that we as humans really do shape our mind. We actually possess the ability to resolve and maintain good mental health practices for ourself..

Thought patterns begin at an early age and develop based on interactions and relationships. If our experience is negative at an early age it carries on throughout our lives. Fear , anxiety and mood are often affected. The good news is we can change thought patterns. I can help you do the work. And yes it is work.

CBT is Cognitive Behavior Therapy. A person can help themselves by activating healthy thought patterns with the development of their own beliefs that can affect their goals.

Some ask what is addiction? Is it alcohol or drug problems? Is it pornograhy, smoking or gambling? Is it money? Is it power and control over others? It is all of the above while we often see multiple relapse and/or other problems even when the person is abstinent.

Interesting enough we find it may be a thought processing problem. The alcoholic or chain smoker who quits using is often the most difficult person to be around and continues to suffer or transfer the addiction to something else. People around the person may be affected and relationships suffer.

We at DRN Counseling Consulting Services LCSW PLLC help seek the core answers. Often this is found in the addiction to a person's thinking. We often say change your thinking and change your outcomes. Cognitive Behavial Therapy/ CBT combined with other treatment models can help pursue positive outcomes.
