We recently surprised Christopher Wittman with a BEE Award! 🐝

The BEE Award recognizes non-nursing staff members (nurses are recognized with Daisy Awards), highlighting the crucial role of support staff in healthcare. The BEE Award, which stands for Be Extraordinary Everyday, emphasizes the dedication and positive impact these individuals have on patients and their families.

Chris is a patient care technician in our Outpatient Infusion Unit and was nominated by a patient, who had this to share:

"When you are having a stressful day the person you want to encounter is Chris Wittman. He readily attends to both the wants and needs of the Oncology Infusion patients without even being asked. His sense of humor and easy manner puts the most unsettled patients at ease. He is gracious and so attentive to the patients and staff, I do not think you ever actually get used to going to infusion but the absolutely wonderful (RNs) and all who help make a bad day a good day, give their heart and soul to make you happy and comfortable. Chris more than contributes to assuring you are OK. He is totally unaware of the positive impact he has on patients. Some patients are heavy with pain but if you watch. you can see smiles on their face after a Chris interaction! He is a treasure in the Oncology Infusion Department."

Way to go Chris!

"As long as I have worked at MVHS, Hassan has always gone above and beyond in his position. He truly stands out above the rest; never complaining no matter how short staffed his department may be. He always has a smile on his face that brings a smile on my face even in the worst of days. His demeanor is always respectful, sincere, and with a touch of humor. He is greatly appreciated by all of our staff here in the pharmacy department and always follows through with any requests we may have. He is is one in a million in a world where we encounter very few like him."

Way to go Hassan!
