The residents of Vacaville Village Senior Living had a fantastic Valentine’s Day celebration this afternoon. We ditched the traditional cards for a high-energy round of Sing-o Bingo, where the tunes were catchy, and the prizes were sweet! Between singing along to classic hits and marking off our boards, we enjoyed a delicious spread of hors d'oeuvres that kept everyone fueled for the fun. Thank you to all the Vacaville schools that created such adorable cards for us. We enjoyed them with our coffee this morning. Our favorite joke was: "What did one pig say to the other pig on Valentine's Day? Don't go 'bacon' my heart this year!" LOL 💕

Connecting generations and creating smiles! 💙✨

Today was a truly special day at Vacaville Village Senior Living. We had the absolute pleasure of hosting students from Vacaville Christian High School, and the energy in the room was incredible!It wasn’t just a visit—it was a beautiful exchange of wisdom, energy, and joy. Our residents and these wonderful students spent the afternoon:Sharing Stories: From "back in my day" tales to dreams for the future.

Gaming Together: Friendly competition over board games and cards (the residents might have won a few more rounds than they’re letting on! 🃏).
Making Music: Harmonizing and enjoying tunes that bridged the age gap.
Laughing Non-Stop: Because laughter is the universal language of friendship.

Watching the different generations connect reminds us that no matter how much time passes, a good story and a kind heart never go out of style.

A huge THANK YOU to the students and faculty at VCHS for bringing so much light into our home today.

🎸 Shake, Rattle, and Roll at Vacaville Village! 💃🕺The 50s and 60s came roaring back to life today at Vacaville Village Senior Living! We traded in our modern gadgets for poodle skirts and pompadours as we hosted our highly anticipated Sock Hop. A huge shoutout to the wonderful Janice, who led the way with her incredible energy and curated the perfect throwback playlist. From Elvis to The Drifters, the music had everyone tapping their toes and hitting the dance floor.

Highlights of the Day:The Music: Janice kept the hits coming, sparking a full afternoon of singing along to the classics.
The Memories: Between songs, residents shared beautiful stories of their favorite soda shops, first cars, and high school dances.
The Moves: Whether it was a classic hand jive or a smooth slow dance, our residents proved they’ve still got that vintage rhythm!

It wasn’t just a party; it was a trip down memory lane that reminded us all that "cool" never goes out of style. Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter fill the room truly made it a day to remember.📸

Big Wins and New Beginnings in Vacaville!
There is nothing quite like the energy of Bingo Afternoon here in Vacaville! Our local community was absolutely buzzing today as residents gathered for their favorite daily dose of competition, laughs, and, of course, those lucky daubers.
But the real highlight of the day? A huge congratulations to Bobina, originally all the way from Czechoslovakia! 🇨🇿It was Bobina’s very first time ever playing Bingo, and let’s just say she might be our new lucky charm. Beginner’s luck is real—she walked away with a win on her very first time! 🏆Seeing the joy on her face reminded us all why these daily games are so special. It’s not just about the numbers called; it’s about the neighbors we meet and the stories we share.

There’s nothing quite like the wag of a tail to brighten up a Tuesday! 🦴 We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the wonderful volunteers and four-legged heroes from the LAPS (Loving Animals Providing Smiles) therapy group today. Our common room was filled with smiles, stories, and plenty of belly rubs. Whether it was a gentle golden retriever offering a head to lean on or a spunky terrier performing tricks, these dogs brought a special kind of magic to our residents.
