I made this for dinner two nights ago, and I must say it was off the hook good! I love Russell James' recipes....so far the best I have found. This one is REALLY easy and you don't need a dehydrator. So if you love mushrooms, this is a great marinade!!

In love with these Jamaican spice combos. This cauliflower rice with coconut oil, clove and thyme is a keeper.

Really informative website on starting a raw vegan lifestyle and putting a check on your nutrition. I am really starting to pay more attention to this. Also, I am looking more into food combining, which aids in healthy digestion.

Where does a raw foodist gets his raw food nutrition (protein, iron, calcium)? Here's an overview and nutrition chart. Plus tips to check for yourself how you're doing plus a resource list.

Okay, so its been two weeks since I created this page, and about a good solid 1 1/2 weeks that I have been fully raw vegan. I have learned a lot in this short time. I have discovered what is not really raw and I have been eating. I will continue to finish these items as I can't see wasting food, I will just do it on a very limited basis....such as cashews and cacao. I have lost 6 pounds and feel a ton lighter....no more bloat. I know I need to eat more, but raw tends to be more dense and filling....maybe that is why a lot of hard core raw people drink smoothies made from 100% of a fruit, such as pears or peaches. I can say that the cravings for carbs still exist and there has been some "fight" back from others that I prepare food for not liking it so much....so there needs to be a compromise. I haven't figured out what that will be yet. Possibly doing a Raw til 4 plan. There are so many more awesome food ideas I haven't even begun to try on the raw vegan diet and I am excited to continue my journey and keeping up. I have not started my workout plan yet, as I wanted to give myself a chance to acclimate to the diet before putting additional stress on my body (good excuse huh? lol) I need to change my sleeping habits!!! I've always been a night owl :) To be continued
