On Jan.5, 2015 I saw my first patient at Blue Ridge Chiropractic. The heater hadn’t been hooked up yet and neither had the internet. So it was cold and I couldn’t process any credit card payments. Now my family jokes that if you wanted to be a patient back then you had to bring cash and a sweater.
It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years since starting the business. There’s been so much time effort and energy devoted to making the office a little better each day. I’ve had an incredible amount of support from family, friends, staff, mentors and especially the patients who come in that make all this possible.
There are a few people that especially deserve my thanks and gratitude. My wife, who met me 6 years ago and has supported me all the way and even liked me enough to join office space with me so that we could create something special together. I’m so grateful for her love and continued support. There’s nobody else I’d rather go through this journey with. My mom who has helped since the opening of the business (and long before then too) and pours her heart and soul into each day that she is there. My dad who has also been there since the start. He did the near impossible and organized the build out of our office in just a few short weeks and still continues to be a huge behind the scenes support. Finally, Dr. John Harrington, had my family not had such a great chiropractor when I was growing up and had I not had such a great mentor over the years, I wouldn’t be where I am as a professional today.
Obviously there are so many who have helped make this possible for this many years. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. Here’s to the next 10 years (and beyond)!
