Today, two clients put some skills they’ve been working on into action at a Starbucks, vendor tables, & a Girl Scout cookie stand!

We worked on:
✨ Initiating conversation
✨ Making requests appropriately
✨ Social & safety awareness
✨ Handling money and exchanging items
✨ Problem-solving unexpected moments

Functional, meaningful practice in the community helps skills carry over far beyond the therapy room… and sometimes it comes with a side of cookies! 🍪

Lesley earned her B.S. in Child & Family Development from the University of Georgia 🐾 and her M.Ed. in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Valdosta State University 🔥.
Lesley has a big heart for pediatrics and a special love for helping little ones find their voice through language development.

When she’s not changing lives in the therapy room, you’ll find her painting 🎨, spending time with her pup Oscar 🐶, or sharing fun stories from her time as a head librarian 📚😉
