A message from our incredible OTD student Christina!

Hi everyone, I’m Christina, an occupational therapy doctoral student at West Coast University.

I’m completing my capstone project here at Step Outside OT. I’ve been interning here for the past few months and will be around until the end of February.

I love being outdoors, and through this experience, I’ve enjoyed learning how occupational therapy can take place in nature and within each family’s home environment.

During my time here, I created a 6-week nature-based program, called Growing Together, designed to support connection, regulation, and meaningful peer interactions through outdoor play and shared experiences.

My hope is that families leave feeling more connected, confident, and empowered with simple, practical ways to support their child’s social participation both in nature and in everyday life.
