One day, Meredith woke up with excruciating back pain that ultimately was diagnosed as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). In 2018, a work-related incident left Jeff severely injured and suffering chronic pain in his left arm. Simple tasks became difficult, and he couldn’t play with his grandchildren like he used to.
