Client came in with a very unique situation; she had an extra fat pad over both of her tibialis anterior muscles. She had tried many different modalities in the past without success. With only five sessions of dry needling and education, these fat pads are noticeably smaller. With more treatments & PT interventions, I feel that we can get them to shrink even more. Follow us on the healing journey of scar therapy with dry needling. At the 13th session we start to change the focus. The tendons and contracted skin have stretched; the wound is healing almost completely from the bottom up. Now we start to focus on function. This client has pain, tightness, achiness, and muscle imbalances all throughout his back and both legs. I am going to work on relieving the pain, and restoring natural movement, to prevent further pain. Client is almost at his prior level of activity!
