Study sessions, fall leaves, and that pre-exam focus 🍂🍁👨🏻‍💻 Balancing research, coursework, and outdoor time, just another day in the life of a grad student at NYMC! Grateful for a campus that feels both inspiring and grounding during exam season. One of my favorite parts about being a student at NYMC's Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is the sense of curiosity and community that drives our learning forward every day.

On National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day, we honor progress in prevention, treatment, and research. Professor Chioma M. Okeoma, Ph.D., and her team are studying tiny particles called extracellular vesicles—messenger-like carriers that influence how cells behave. Their groundbreaking work has found that these vesicles may contain HIV-suppressing molecules capable of blocking the virus’s ability to replicate.
