Because of milk donors like Gabrielle, babies get the nourishment they need to grow and heal! Gabrielle recently completed her second milk donation, bringing her total to 935 ounces donated to The New York Milk Bank. She dropped off her milk at our Albany-area milk depot, Dr. Lorelei’s Healthy Beginnings.

Milk depots are local partner locations that make donating easier by serving as safe, convenient drop-off sites for approved donors.

This week, we’re spotlighting donor mom Yicheng, whose journey into milk donation was inspired by her daughter, Alethia, a preemie who spent time in the NICU. During Alethia’s stay, doctors shared that donor milk might be needed if her supply fell short, and that moment stayed with Yicheng.

Today, she’s on the other side of that experience, paying it forward to families who are walking that same path. Yicheng recently shared how meaningful it feels to know her milk can help fragile babies thrive, and she has already told us she hopes to donate again.
