Nahom heads home after being with us since August. 💛

From day one, his strength has been undeniable. He shows up each day with positivity, and an unbreakable spirit that has inspired us all.

Ten-year-old Anthony was born with spina bifida. The condition affects his spinal cord, leaving him without sensation or mobility below the lumbar vertebrae and unable to walk independently. Just before his third birthday, Anthony began receiving care at Blythedale Children's Hospital, enrolling in its Early Childhood Center. There, he was able to learn while also receiving essential therapies unavailable in his community. He has since learned how to walk through the use of reciprocating gait orthoses and now, Anthony is ready to transition back to his community.

We were honored to welcome News 12 Westchester to our hospital as we marked the conclusion of Month 💙

Achanty's journey is a powerful reminder of resilience and hope. After experiencing a stroke last year caused by an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in her brain, she has made incredible progress through comprehensive rehabilitation at Blythedale Children’s Hospital.

As she prepares to transition to our Day Hospital program, where she’ll continue her therapies while attending school, her story continues to inspire us all.
