✅ FACT!
Scientific studies show that the average adult resting blink rate does fall around 15–20 blinks per minute.
Each blink is incredibly quick, lasting only about 1/10th to 4/10ths of a second. That adds up to roughly 12,000 to 19,000 blinks every day—most of which we don’t even notice!
Blinking plays a vital role in eye health by spreading moisture, oils, and protective tears across the eyes to keep them comfortable and protected. While activities like screen time can reduce how often we blink, reflex blinks (like those triggered by bright lights or smoke) help keep us within that normal range.
Pretty amazing how something so small happens so often—and keeps our vision clear every day! 👁️✨
