When people rise above what is expected, great things happen. Dad has decided that he would like to quit smoking. So that told me that big changes needed to take place. I wanted to get my dad’s car detailed so it was one less smell that reminded him of smoking. Kyle Merz at Merz Custom Detail LLC in Valley Falls went so far beyond and I cannot thank him enough. Not only does the car look factory, it no longer has the stale cigarette smell! Thank you Kyle for all you have done!

Dr Vickie’s family update:
As many of you know, my father has been ill. Two weeks ago he had an episode of highly elevated CO2 and was taken to St Francis ICU in Topeka. He was then discharged to a skilled nursing facility to work on getting stronger before going home. Last night, he was admitted again but for an unexpected GI issue. We are continuing care and as things change you may notice that I have to adjust my office hours to help my family.

Effective immediately, I will be running the office alone. My father’s health is declining and Deniece (my mom) will be stepping away from the office to care for him at home. Our patients have welcomed us like family and I pray that your patience extends a bit further as I attempt to run the show alone.

Dr Vickie’s first time at Over The Top Sandwich and not only is the food delicious but the owners are truly beautiful people. She was given an extra sandwich by accident and told to give it to someone and make them smile… so she immediately ran next door to where several homeless frequent. One man’s oops is another’s happy tears! Thank you guys for being able to pass on a smile and a sammie.
