Last week, the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island had the pleasure of hosting LC Athens Secretary, Alexandros Georgiadis for a tour of our facility and meet and greet with our Board of Directors. It was a wonderful visit and we wish Lion Alex the best in his endeavors with the Athens Eye Bank!

A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one tells the story of improved vision for Long Islanders! Our Board of Directors recently donated a Kona Corneal Endothelial Camera to Nassau University Medical Center’s Department of Ophthalmology. This vital equipment will help doctors like our Medical Director, Dr. Henry Perry and Residency Program Director and Chairman of Dept. of Ophthalmology Dr. Marcelle Morcos, provide even better care to patients in need of corneal transplants.
