My name is Buki I am a pre-licensed Mental Health Counselor. I provide individual and group counseling services to a diverse clientele consisting of self-referred children, teenagers, and adults. Through comprehensive client-centered, multicultural, and cognitive-behavioral counseling approaches, I help empower my clients to explore and understand themselves, as well as define goals, plan action and gain insight through the therapeutic processes. On a daily basis, I demonstrate specific skills, apply relevant knowledge, make critical judgments, and I am reflective about my actions and their impact on others.
I encourage my clients to discuss emotions and experiences while examining a variety of issues, some include: relationship difficulties, trauma, stress management, childhood challenges, anxiety, mood changes, learning to communicate effectively, planning for the future, becoming appropriately assertive, bereavement, career issues, and school-related issues.
Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers individuals to accomplish mental health and overall wellness. My goal is to help my clients feel empowered and have the tools to cope with life’s challenges by providing an objective viewpoint and offering support and feedback within a supportive and understanding environment.
