Sirirat Swynenberg trained in Thailand at the Banyan Tree Academy. She been practicing since 2006. Siri worked at the Marriott and Sheraton Resorts in Tumon, Guam and has practiced at various Spas around O'ahu since 2010, even running her own spa for many years in Hawaii, then moved to Indiana a few years ago with her husband and children.

A message from Siri:"My goal is to locate and relieve tension in problem areas. I want help my clients feel better. 

When I was young, my mother would ask me to massage her. She worked everyday and was always tense and tired. Even with no training she was able to sleep well after I would massage her. This made feel very good that I could help my mother who worked so hard for me and my sisters. 

After I graduated from college in Thailand with a degree in Tourism, I was unable to find a job in the hospitality industry that made me feel good. But I remembered how good it felt when I would help my mother and since nearly every resort has a spa, I felt that becoming a massage therapist would combine my education with my natural talent. "

We keep hearing how much you all want to see more real people and less AI, well hear ya go 🚶‍♀️ 👏

As a small business owner running not one but 3 businesses I understand how valuable every hour of your time is as well as maintaining budgets that sometimes can't afford fancy marketers that guarantee no results although hopeful. In the perfect world, of course we would all hire the best small biz marketing team. But sometimes we fall into AI trap too like the fellow massage therapist that got ripped into earlier in the local group.

I used to spend hours on canva making ads that sometimes people literally could care less about or get no traction based on the algorithms. PLUS massage school doesn't teach you how to be an influencer or marketing team, we are all doing our best out here and need to give a little grace to all small business owners.

Yes let's do less AI and take Selah Brooks advice on just setting up a camera and doing your thang BUT let's not tear down the solo entrepreneurs just trying to make it. It's not the little guys building data centers. Trust me we don't want the data centers either. It's a hard time in life for everyone right now especially when time is limited.

But we are hearing your call to action and we will cancel our AI subscription, save some $$, and go back to our guerilla marketing. So prepare to see more videos of us working our butts off again. 💪

I am incredibly grateful for each client that trusts us with their care. In less then 3 years between our scheduling system, Google, and Facebook we have over 470+ five star reviews. Through highs and lows of small business ownership, through divorce, through staff changes, through me being imperfect at times it truly brings me to knees sometimes what we have endured and what we have achieved. There is always room for more growth but I can't thank you all enough. Please keep sending all the good vibes our way as we go into the notorious spring/summer slow season. Especially for our float staff in chesterton we could use another push to keep them booked, and send us your best massage therapists for hire as we are turning down massages daily and need more hands 🙏

Stay safe 🙏

The Storm Prediction Center has placed a large portion of the Midwest under an elevated risk for severe weather this evening, including Valparaiso. These storms may produce large hail, damaging winds and, possibly, tornadoes. We should be prepared for fallen limbs and perhaps power outages. IF you encounter a downed tree, stay away from the area to reduce your risk of injury from electrical lines.
Valparaiso City Service crews are on standby and will respond accordingly.
Remember: A tornado WATCH means conditions in the atmosphere are favorable for tornadoes to form. A tornado WARNING means a tornado has either been spotted or detected by weather radar. When a warning is issued, act immediately and move to shelter.
If a tornado WARNING is issued, go to the lowest level of the building, preferably a basement. If you do not have a basement, go to a small interior room on the lowest floor, such as a bathroom, closet, or hallway. Stay away from windows and outside walls. Use blankets, pillows, or a mattress to protect your head and body from debris. If you are in a mobile home or vehicle, move to a sturdy building immediately when possible. Be sure to have a way to receive weather alerts tonight, such as a weather radio, phone alerts or local media.
