It just feels like the best time and place to “relax” right? 😜

My “20 minute doom scroll session on the toilet” is actually laying down for 5 minutes or taking a short walk

If you’re caring for a loved one with dementia, relaxing might be really really hard right now. It may look like a few deep breaths while you’re in the car or closing your eyes for 30 seconds while you’re waiting at a Drs appointment.

What does relaxing look like to you, if you’re able to relax? 😌🧠💜

Sometimes you just gotta hype yourself up to do the every day things like

➡️ cook another meal (and try to make it brain healthy)
➡️ go to another Drs appointment
➡️ manage alllllll the care like the Doctor, neurologist, any therapies (by yourself)
➡️ answer the same question over and over (& over & over 🙃)

If you care for a loved one with dementia, you ARE a star ✨👏

Sleep hygiene is soooo good and important and can be soooo challenging.

It will improve your memory and decrease your risk of dementia 💜🧠

Pick one thing to change TODAY for improved sleep TONIGHT

- turn your phone off before bed

- have the room dark?

- turn the temperature low

- avoid eating too close to bed time

-avoid drinking alcohol before bed time

- prioritize 8 hours of sleep
