Artist Laurel Izard is an award-winning textile artist working in embroidered quilting and mixed media. Her art quilts give new life to vintage quilt tops, combining traditional handwork with contemporary themes that reflect care for the natural world and our shared experiences. The exhibition invites viewers to slow down and look closely at materials rich with history. Her work will be on view at The Village Gallery through March 25th.

We’re adding a few thoughtful touches to make the evening feel a little more festive, a little more elegant, and full of flavor. From beautifully prepared entrées to sweet finishes, it’s all about creating a warm, memorable experience in the dining room.

Did you know we host a Low Vision Support Group that’s open to the public?

The group meets monthly and offers informative, supportive discussions for individuals with visual impairments, as well as their families and caregivers. Topics include eye diseases, treatments, current research, and low vision aids.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome. Come learn, connect, and support one another in the community.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose words and actions continue to challenge us to build a more just, compassionate society.

Dr. King believed that progress happens when people choose empathy over indifference and service over self interest. At Pines Village, those values show up in small, daily ways. In how neighbors care for one another. In how we listen, include, and respect every individual’s story.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our offices will be closed today as we take time to reflect on his legacy and the responsibility we all share in building community rooted in dignity and kindness.
