These kits are free, and they include a lot of useful information along with the elopement kit!

The Porter County Health Department is now offering Autism Elopement Kits to families with children on the spectrum who have a history of elopement.
The kits are free of charge and include an Autism elopement prevention tips fact sheet; exterior door locks and window alarms; tile tracking device and wearable tile band; social stories and visual aids and emergency response cards.

Our Health and Safety Fair is just a couple of days away! Join us this Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Portage High School Fieldhouse in Portage, Indiana.

This free, family-friendly event will feature community vendor booths, free health services, safety demonstrations, giveaways, food trucks, and fun activities for all ages. It's a great chance to connect with local organizations and learn more about the health and safety resources available in our community.
