What a treat! Wendi Gracy with Concho Hearts brought employees ingredients for dirty energy drinks and ingredients for dirty sodas for residents! We all got treats we enjoyed. All happy tummies at Meadowbrook!

Great morning to do some exercise with our awesome therapy team! Stretching, moving and singing was happening at Meadowbrook! Gotta keep moving!

What a SWEET day at Meadowbrook! Speech Therapist Heather ran our employee bake off contest. Tracie- regional therapy person and Van Alstyne Officer Juan were our judges. Our entries included chocolate chip cookies- Lainie, Funfetti cupcakes- Rosie, Nonna’s Italian Cream Cake- Emily, Better Than S*x Cake- Jeannie, Mary Pittman’s Coconut Pie- and Chocolate Poke Cake- Greta. It was a hard decision. Honorable mention to the best chocolate chip cookies. Tied for 1st and 2nd was pie and beautiful Italian Cream cake! What a fun idea by Emily and Kasha!

This week at Meadowbrook brought some surprises. We also were proud of getting our hair done by Charlotte! A few other events (not pictured) included guest caller- Naomi - bingo. Dominoes, delivery of Daily Chronicle- Wanda💓 and Jackie.

St Paddy’s Day Shenanigans! Great Church service with FUMC! All decked out in our green so there were no pinchers. 😆

What a super great Monday! Started off with devotional and Bible reading. After lunch several hands of dominoes Then pop up Bingo led by American Heritage Girls. After bingo the American heritage group passed out goodies to all residents.

Dominoes and eating freshly popped popcorn are two of our favorite activities! If someone does not want to play dominoes he/she likes to watch and listen to the banter. 🤩

🌟 Meet the Team – Meadowbrook Care Center 🌟

Next in our Meet the Team series is Leah Travis, our Business Office Manager at Meadowbrook Care Center. Leah joined the Meadowbrook family in October 2025 and has quickly become a valued part of the team. She truly enjoys coming to work each day and spending time with the residents who make Meadowbrook such a special place.

In December 2025, Leah graduated with her Associate’s degree and is currently continuing her education by pursuing her Bachelor’s in Business through Western Governors University (WGU). She is passionate about learning, growing, and serving others, and is always happy to help residents and families with any questions they may have.

Outside of work, Leah is the proud mom of two amazing boys who keep her busy and motivated. Her faith is an important part of her life, and one of her favorite verses that inspires her each day is:

"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13
