We use the latest in Imaging technology in conjunction with a staff of Medical Imaging Professionals, who are Nationally Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Technologists and Sonographers are Registered in specific Advanced Modalities including: CT, MRI, Vascular Ultrasound and Diagnostic Ultrasound. As well as being able to provide Diagnostic Interpretation by Radiologist’s PA of Fort Smith, AR. Our digital network allows us to quickly and securely make our images available to various physicians’ offices and other medical facilities throughout this area. Venous Ultrasound of the Legs (Lower Extremity Doppler)
What is the test?
This type of ultrasound shows whether there is a blockage in a leg vein. Such blockages are usually caused by blood clots, which can be dangerous and even life-threatening if they break loose and travel through the blood to the lungs. If you have pain or swelling in one leg, your doctor may order an ultrasound to determine whether your symptoms are caused by a blockage.
What risks are there from the test?
There are no risks.
Must I do anything special after the test is over?
No.
