🌟 Staff Spotlight: Mya Teague 🌟

Today we are excited to shine a light on Mya Teague, a loyal and hardworking member of the Riverways Manor family for the past three years. Mya’s journey with us is a wonderful example of dedication and growth. She first joined our team in housekeeping, where her work ethic and positive attitude quickly stood out. Wanting to do even more for our residents, Mya moved into a NA role and continued pushing herself forward by completing the CNA class. Her commitment didn’t stop there—Mya recently finished the CMT program, further expanding her ability to care for and support our residents.

Mya is known throughout the building as a bright spot in the home. Her cheerful personality, laughter, and fun-loving spirit bring comfort and joy to those around her. Residents enjoy her warm presence, and coworkers appreciate her kindness, teamwork, and willingness to go the extra mile at any moment.

Outside of Riverways Manor, Mya enjoys a full and happy life. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter, cherishing every moment of family togetherness. Mya is also an outdoor enthusiast—she enjoys hunting, fishing, and taking advantage of the beauty nature has to offer. At home, she spends much of her free time caring for and loving on her animals, which bring her endless joy.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Darrell Wallace 🌟
We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Darrell Wallace, our amazing Maintenance Manager here at Riverways Manor! Darrell joined our Riverways family in February 2025, and in that time, he has made an incredible impact through his hard work, dedication, and caring attitude toward our residents and staff alike.

Darrell takes great pride in his work and says that one of the best parts of his job is seeing the joy and relief on the residents’ faces when he’s able to lend a helping hand. Whether it’s fixing something around the building, lending an ear, or sharing a laugh, Darrell finds real fulfillment in being able to serve and support the residents who call Riverways home. His calm demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile make him a favorite among both residents and coworkers.

When he’s not at work keeping everything running smoothly, Darrell enjoys spending his free time doing the things he loves most — attending church, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his wife and children. Family and faith play a big role in Darrell’s life, and that sense of dedication and care shines through in everything he does here at Riverways.

🎉✨ What an amazing day we had at Riverways Manor! ✨🎉

Our Halloween celebration was filled with pizza, cake, games, laughter, and so many creative costumes! The building was buzzing with excitement as residents, staff, and guests joined in for a day full of fun and festive spirit. 👻🍕🎂

One of the sweetest highlights of the day was a visit from our very own tiny Princess, who made her royal rounds spreading hugs, smiles, and extra love to everyone she met. 💕 Her sparkle truly lit up the room and brought joy to every resident she greeted! 👑

We are beyond grateful for our amazing team who went above and beyond to make this day unforgettable. From decorating and planning games to serving treats and keeping the energy high — your hard work and dedication made it all possible. 🌟

It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. The smiles, laughter, and pure happiness on our residents’ faces mean everything to us. ❤️

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Karen Null, CNA 🌟

We’re excited to shine this week’s spotlight on Karen Null, one of our amazing Certified Nursing Assistants here at Riverways Manor!

Karen has been part of our Riverways Manor family for two and a half years. She first joined as a Nursing Assistant and later completed her classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her hard work and dedication to growing in her career truly show her passion for caring for others.

Karen says, “I love the interaction with the residents. Helping them makes me feel fulfilled. I also love my work family — this is one of the most family-like places I’ve ever worked!” Her positive attitude and caring nature brighten the halls every day, and she’s always ready with a smile or kind word to lift someone’s spirits. 💕

When Karen isn’t at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and her seven wonderful grandchildren. Family means everything to her! She also loves hitting the open road with her husband, taking in the sights, and creating memories together. And of course, she enjoys relaxing at home surrounded by her cats and dogs — who bring her plenty of love and laughter. 🐾🚗

The Amazing Riley and Reka! 🐾🎶

Riverways Manor recently enjoyed a wonderful visit from Riley and Reka, two talented Weimaraner’s owned and trained by certified dog trainer Linda Kush. Residents were absolutely captivated as Riley and Reka showcased their many skills — from checking the mail and packing up for a trip, cleaning up their toys, to performing incredible balancing acts and even showing off their musical talents! 🎵🐶

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and lots of puppy love as everyone enjoyed spending time with these sweet, well-trained pups. Thank you, Linda, Riley, and Reka, for bringing so much joy and excitement to our residents’ day! 💕🐕

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Nick Werner 🌟

Riverways Manor is proud to recognize Nick Werner, a valued and dedicated member of our dietary department. Nick has been part of the Riverways Manor family for six years, and during that time, he has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, a caring attitude, and genuine respect for the residents he serves each day.

Nick takes great pride in his role, knowing that the meals he helps prepare contribute to the comfort and well-being of each resident. For him, it’s more than just providing nourishment — it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. He shared, “Growing up, I was always told to respect my elders. Our residents have so many wonderful stories about their lives and how times were in the past, and I truly enjoy hearing them.”

Nick believes that every resident has something special to share, and he appreciates the opportunity to listen, learn, and connect with them. His thoughtful interactions and kind demeanor have made him a favorite among both residents and staff alike.

In addition to the fulfillment he finds in his work, Nick enjoys being part of a supportive and hardworking team at Riverways Manor. He values the camaraderie among his coworkers and the positive atmosphere that comes from everyone working toward the same goal — providing the best care and experience possible for the residents.

Outside of work, Nick leads an active lifestyle. He enjoys hiking, swimming, floating the river, shooting, and spending time with his son and friends. These activities allow him to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time with loved ones.
