The emotional state of any person accompanies them from birth and is a need. These needs are defined as a state of feeling deficient and unfulfilled, depending on the type of need. Even as a child, we acquire, for example, physiological needs, which parents strive to meet. These needs are similar to emotional needs, which accompany us for our lifetime.
⠀
From a universal point of view, human emotional needs are very similar.
⠀
Among these needs are: the need for another person, which includes the need to create a relationship where we show a desire to care, to ensure the safety of our soulmate mutually; the need for independence and equality; the need for freedom of speech and expression of feelings; the need for entertainment and many other needs. However, while affecting everyone, all of these needs may be felt differently by each person. This means that everyone has needs, but they are different, and their lack is felt individually.
⠀
Especially when it comes to the elderly, emotional needs are essential because their intensity increases with age. The older the person, the more critical the need for safety and care, which comes with anxiety, especially when the elderly are lonely.
⠀
It's worth paying attention to the needs of the elderly because we can really bring them much joy with a short companionship. Ask your loved ones how they would like to spend the day with you and fulfill even the most "silly" requests.
