I hope everyone had a nice holiday and was able to find some time and space for self as well.

If you want change, you have to start walking in that direction. You can start with the smallest steps too.

Start your day with gratitude instead of immediately scrolling.

Trade up some of the habits you have for some new ones that are more aligned with where you are trying to go and who you’re trying to become.

Start small and start today. Implement one positive affirmation a day, drink more water, journal.

You are so capable of anything you put your full energy and effort into. Happy Friday.

The waves be WAVING this season but i am grateful for my practice and what i have learned along the way.

I didn’t run away from any of it. We rode those waves with love and curiosity. I say this to say, no matter how mindful you are, or how much you practice, the bumps of life never stop. Those obstacles ARE the way and i truly believe that. That’s why i lean in.

Healing isn’t always pretty. And being a teacher is about walking the path. No matter how much mindfulness i study, the waves of life will always keep coming. And I’m in a WAVE.

But fortunately what i have come to know about riding the waves is that they pass. Every feeling, every sensation passes. If i allow myself to just sit in it, the intensity will dissipate. And I’ll be okay.

When i feel unsteady these days, i seek refuge within. I am safe and sound here.

Hello winter. ❄️

Much to be grateful for this winter solstice.

No matter what happens around me, i always have the over within me to take refuge in. That’s the beauty of mindfulness, being able to lean into gratitude when things feel bleak. Being able to take a deep breath and say yeah this sucks and it’s hard but I HAVE MY BACK. I am feeling a lot of gratitude on the longest night of the year. Full of love and hope for the future.

I used to hate this time of year but the further i go into myself the more i have come to love and appreciate the joy of community, sharing space and time with others.

And now we’re in Capricorn season (my season)

Happy Winter Solstice! Your energy breakdown is up now (with some shadow work prompts and ideas for rituals to connect with this enegry)

The Winter Solstice is a time of pause, reflections, of going deeper during the Winter as it sets in on the longest night of the year. This is such a beautiful time to slow down and settle into your being. Take time this season to tend to that inner place, by getting to know your shadows you will gain access to your light. Our light is directly proportional to the amount of darkness we can sit with.

One of the shadow work prompts I am sitting with is, "What have my shadows taught me?"

This can be a very hard time of year for many people. Myself included. And in the past, I have been a little grinch however, as my practice continues, I have come to use this time for gratitude and for expanding the heart space with METTA.

The practice of loving kindness is very beneficial for those who carry resentment or anger. I am definitely one of those people and this practice has helped me so much learning the art of letting go.

Detachment and depersonalization our practices that help us to expand our heart spaces as wide as they can go.
