Grateful beyond measure.

Diving into myself with love has been the most rewarding and fulfilling thing I’ve done for myself. It’s reunited me back to myself.

The emotional waves of life has never stopped, I’ve just learned how to ride the waves a little easier.

& hopefully we will have our big retreat on the coast this year 🌊

I have always been an activist, but now in my path of mindful awareness, it looks different.

Thich Nhat Hanh was one of the leaders of peace walks during the Vietnam War and has written many books on the importance and value of peace. The peace of the world begins with the peace within ourselves.

And now as a teacher, during current times, being witness to suffering all around the world, the cultivation of peace is more important than ever. That’s why i keep teaching, why i keep helping others to find stability and strength within themselves. We need that right now.

If you’re struggling to stay afloat mentally, if you need support and guidance of how to find stillness and comfort within, i have many resources for all levels of income and no one is ever turned away. You are not alone and the peace you seek IS possible. It’s possible because it already lives with in you my friend. 🖤

My mindfulness practice is what gives me strength and clarity. My meditation practice is what has given me my power back by allowing me to remain calm and focused even when things around me are chaotic and unpredictable.

So now instead of fighting, i do METTA.

I do these every so often and each time i do i feel so emotional to review my own path.

Growing up i was always anxious and stressed, that grew into rage and anger as i got older and before i knew it i was addicted to drugs and couldn’t stop punching walls. I had always grown up around people like that and felt like there was no other path for me.

Until i frantically googled “how can i be happy” one night and google said try reading Happiness by Thich Nhat Hanh and turns out i really needed that book and the lessons of mindfulness. That was in 2018 and i have been a daily meditator since. I also have dove heavily into shadow work to help heal some of the deeper wounds of the past while using mindfulness to help steady myself and support myself along the way. Energy work has been a beautiful way to dissipate some of the energy that has been held that we can’t always cognitively process.

As a teacher, my main goal has always been to bring these modalities to those who are seeking and accessible wellness is the heart of Two Moons. (That’s why there are so many donation or no cost options)

I am so grateful for that moment of despair that lead me to the teachings that Thich Nhat Hanh. Truly changed the trajectory of my life. One breath at a time, i found my way back home to myself. & you can too friend. 🫶🏼🖤

Emotions like anger, fear, & shame can be seen as such negative feelings to avoid. But in reality, these are our roadmaps into ourselves. These are the ways we will find out what parts of self need to most love and compassion.

Investigating myself with love has been the most loving thing i could have ever done for myself.

Asking myself these kinds of questions has helped me to be a better friend, a better mom and a better partner. It is in stillness and reflection that these insights have the opportunity to rise to the surface.
