Music Therapy with Kaelin is always a highlight around here! 🎶✨

Kaelin has such a special way of bringing out the best in our residents, creating a fun, welcoming, and truly therapeutic space for everyone. From singing along to favorite songs to jumping in with instruments, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Marilyn absolutely lit up on the tambourine—she had the whole room smiling and keeping time right along with her! 🥁💛

We’re so lucky to have Kaelin visit us each month and fill our space with music, energy, and connection.

Another great week of keeping our neighborhood beautiful with Connie and Jayde—our cleanup superstars! 🧹✨

Connie shows up week after week, dedicated to helping keep the sidewalks around our building clean, and we truly appreciate the time and care she puts into it.

What started as a simple volunteer effort back in March 2025 has grown into a favorite for many of our residents. There’s something surprisingly meditative about it—trading stress and distractions for a simple goal: picking up as much trash as we can and making a visible difference.

We love these kinds of spontaneous, meaningful activities—whether it’s cleanup days, birdwatching, or beachcombing. Moments where we can quiet the noise, be present, and just exist for a while. 💛

Karaoke brought the house down this week! 🎤✨

We had some amazing performances, including Steven, who surprised us all by grabbing the mic and jumping right in. He’s usually out and about or keeping to the sidelines during activities, so getting to see him step up, sing, and just have fun was something special.

That’s what it’s all about—trying something new, sharing a few laughs, and maybe even discovering a hidden talent or two along the way. 💛

There’s just something magical about a day along the Vancouver Waterfront 🌊

Our group headed back to the Columbia River for another round of birdwatching, duck and goose feeding, and a little beachcombing adventure. Lisa was on a mission collecting shells, while Rachel found all kinds of treasures—colorful rocks, bits of sea glass, and even some interesting drift “ruffage” along the shore.

We wrapped up our visit watching the storm clouds slowly roll in… and made it home just in time to beat the rain ☁️🌧️ A perfect mix of fresh air, exploration, and a little Pacific Northwest drama!

A sweet throwback to last month when we pulled off a surprise 80th birthday celebration for our beloved “Gramma” Anita 🎉🎂

The smiles said it all—she was completely surprised and surrounded by so much love, laughter, and celebration. 80 never looked so good! 💛

All hail the Queen of Evergreen 👑

Bonnie was spotted soaking up the sunshine in absolute style—rocking a pink dress, a black and red shawl, a fabulous pink hat, and white gloves to match. Truly dressed to the nines and giving us royal energy all afternoon 💅

We’re pretty sure Queen Elizabeth II would approve!

Things got crispy around here with our Pringles taste test! 🥔🔥

We tried 6 different flavors—from the OG classics to some seriously bold picks—and let’s just say… opinions were STRONG 😄 A few flavors were instant favorites, a few were… “memorable,” and there was plenty of laughter all around.

Final verdict: once you pop, the debate don’t stop 😂

Sometimes the best moments are the ones you don’t plan 🌅

We loaded up the bus for an impromptu sunset cruise down Lower River Road, soaking in views of Vancouver Lake, lush green fields, and even clear sights of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood. It was absolutely gorgeous—and exactly what we needed.

Smiles all around, fresh air, and a little spontaneous adventure made for a perfect evening together 💛

Another spring craft we’re loving—watercolor postcards 🎨🌷

Our residents spent time painting beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs inspired by the season. From soft florals to bright pops of color, each postcard turned into a little piece of art ready to brighten someone’s day.

It’s been so fun embracing spring through creativity and sharing that joy with others—because a handmade postcard is always extra special 💌

We took a peaceful trip down to the Vancouver Waterfront and it did not disappoint 🐦

Our group spotted dozens of birds—over 10 different types! The highlight? Watching a majestic osprey perched in a nearby tree for nearly 20 minutes. It was one of those quiet, awe-filled moments that had everyone slowing down and soaking it all in.

Experiences like this remind us how lucky we are to have such beautiful, grounding spaces right in our backyard. Fresh air, great company, and a little wildlife magic—what more could you ask for? 🌿

We kicked off our first coastal trip of the year with a visit to Depoe Bay—the whale watching capital! 🌊🐋

We were greeted with beautiful sunshine, though the high and choppy waters made spotting the migrating whales a bit more of a challenge. Even so, we caught a few exciting blowhole sightings and enjoyed watching plenty of playful sea lions swimming nearby!

The day was filled with fun stops, including lunch at The Horn, browsing local gift shops, enjoying some classic taffy, and spending time at the Whale Watching Center. It was a wonderful day full of fresh ocean air, laughter, and great company—an awesome way to welcome the spring season!
