So many smiles from Gratitude Café and Cooking with Care! 🍓

Food has a special way of bringing people together, and these moments in the kitchen are some of our favorites. Our residents love getting hands-on—mixing, creating, tasting, and sharing the experience with staff right by their side.

Activities like these are about so much more than just cooking. They give everyone the chance to connect, create something together, and enjoy the simple joy of working with their hands. The laughter, teamwork, and pride that come out of these moments are what make them so special.

As you can see from all these smiling faces, Evergreen Inn really is one big happy family.

Art, adventure, and a beautiful day out! 🎨

Our residents had a wonderful time exploring the Portland Art Museum during a recent group outing. We were especially excited to visit after the renovations—there’s now literally double the art compared to our visit last year! With four floors to explore, there was something fascinating around every corner.

The museum itself is absolutely stunning, and we were so impressed with how ADA-friendly and accessible the space is, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the experience. Even better, admission is free on the first Thursday of every month, which helps make art more accessible to the whole community.

We love living in an area with so many incredible activities just a short drive away, and this outing was a perfect reminder of how lucky we are to explore them together.

A big shout-out to Jayde and Connie! 🌿

Recently we kicked off our spring–fall neighborhood volunteer tradition: Monday trash clean-up. Every year our residents step up to help care for the community around Evergreen Inn, and it’s always something we’re proud of.

Jayde and Connie left no stone unturned while making their way around the neighborhood, picking up litter and leaving things even better than they found them. Their dedication and pride in our community truly show.

We’re so grateful for residents who love giving back and who help make the place we call home something we can all feel proud of.

Feeling lucky at Evergreen Inn! ☘️

Our residents and team members had such a wonderful time getting creative with DIY St. Patrick’s Day wreaths this morning. From shamrocks to sparkles, everyone added their own personal touch, and the results turned out amazing!

The fun isn’t over yet—we’re all looking forward to our special St. Patrick’s Day lunch and a mischievous leprechaun scavenger hunt later today. Something tells us there might be a little gold hiding around here… 🌈

Days like this remind us how much joy comes from creativity, laughter, and celebrating together.

He has a special gift for remembering big days and meaningful milestones, always going the extra mile to make coworkers and residents feel truly seen and appreciated. Whether he’s hyping someone up on a tough day or thoughtfully adapting the world around us to meet each person’s unique needs, Ed leads with heart.

He may be the quiet type at first, but once you get to know him, you quickly discover what a loyal friend and steady source of encouragement he is. We are so lucky to have him on our team — congratulations, Ed! 👏

🌞🚌 Outing Season Has Officially Begun! 🚌🌞

With the warmer weather finally making its return, we celebrated the best way we know how — by kicking off what we lovingly call “Outing Season!”

This is our favorite time of year here at Evergreen — that sweet stretch between the first warm days and the winter chill — when we take full advantage of the beautiful PNW and get out exploring as much as possible. 🌲✨

Our first adventure of the season took us to the stunning Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals, housed inside a gorgeous mid-century modern home that is a treasure in itself.

Residents were absolutely awestruck by the breathtaking collection — sparkling crystals, massive geodes, intricate mineral formations — and the best part? These incredible works of art were created entirely by nature. 🌎💎

One of our biggest goals is offering accessible adventures — making sure our residents continue to experience new places, new sights, and new memories year after year. This was the perfect way to begin.

Here’s to sunshine, exploration, and a season full of beautiful moments ahead. 💛

🎩✨ An Afternoon of Magic & Laughter at Evergreen! ✨🎩

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the incredibly talented Louie Foxx (yes — from America’s Got Talent!!!) for a magic and comedy show that had our residents completely amazed… and cracking up the entire time! 😂👏

From mind-blowing tricks to hilarious moments that kept us guessing, Louie brought so much energy and joy into the room. The gasps, the belly laughs, the “HOW did he do that?!” — it was such a cool experience for everyone involved.

Events like this remind us how powerful live entertainment can be. Magic, laughter, and community all wrapped into one unforgettable afternoon. 💛

🌸✨ Spring Suncatchers & Sweet Moments ✨🌸

Our AMAZING caregiver Heidi hosted the most joyful spring suncatcher craft — and wow, did it shine! ☀️💐

Residents gathered to design colorful creations that will catch the sunlight and brighten their windows all season long. But what made this one extra special? So many of our staff joined in right alongside our residents, creating magic together. 💛

There’s something really beautiful about sitting at the same table, sharing supplies, laughing over color choices, and admiring each other’s work. It wasn’t just a craft — it was connection.

Huge thank you to Heidi for leading such a fun and heartwarming activity! 🌷

Susan and Sabrina spent some peaceful time enjoying our “Sticker by Number” activity — a relaxing art experience where each tiny sticker finds its matching space to slowly reveal a beautiful finished picture.

There’s something so satisfying about watching the image come together piece by piece! It’s creative, calming, and a wonderful way to focus the mind while chatting and enjoying each other’s company.

Way to stick with it, ladies — your projects are looking fantastic! 💛

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful resident Diane for donating a brand new pack of fabric markers that made this week’s craft possible! 🎨👜

With motivational stencils, canvas totes, and lots of creativity, we got to work designing our very own reusable bags. It was such a relaxing afternoon — and now we each have a personalized tote for shopping, errands, and a little inspiration on the go.

We love when our community supports one another like this. Thank you, Diane, for helping bring this project to life! 💛
